Children’s Yoga (RCYT) Program

Alpha-Omega’s Children’s Yoga training provides teachers with the skills they need to successfully introduce children to the world of yoga. This comprehensive program meets the standards set forth by Yoga Alliance for the designation of Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher (RCYT). This program is available to teacher’s who have completed a 200 or 500 hour certification program.
Our children’s program focuses on creating a unique environment for children to learn and grow. Our teachers will foster positive self-image and body awareness. Children respond best to activity-based learning and our training provides graduates with a wealth of knowledge and concepts, preparing them to provide exciting and fun-filled classes to all age groups (preschool – teens).

Graduates of this program will have successfully completed training in:

• Childhood development
• Asana and creative movement for children
• Anatomy and physiology for children
• CPR certification for infants and children
• Classroom ethics
• Teaching the 8-limbed path
• Activity-based yoga games

This program consists of 5 training weekend (5 months) and 95 hours of training.

Schedule:
Our RCYT training program consists of five weekends, meeting Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm.
